What is intelligentMR?
intelligentMR™ is our umbrella term for the suite of AI-powered tools and technologies we are deploying to improve MRI scanning and diagnostic outcomes. These innovations are aimed at improvements such as reduced scan times, enhanced image quality and process efficiency, providing more detailed and accurate results from Open MRI for our patients and referring clinicians.
How Does It Work?
This first intelligentMR™ algorithm is designed to revolutionize the MRI process by significantly reducing scan times without compromising image quality. Here’s how it works:
- Shortened Scan Sequences: The MRI scanner acquires the DICOM image data set using shorter sequences than typically required for high-quality images and without K-space interpolation. This approach minimizes the time patients spend in the scanner, reducing discomfort and the likelihood of motion artifacts.
- Cloud-Based AI Processing: Once the DICOM data set is captured, it is sent to the intelligentMR™ cloud. Here, the acquired data is processed using sophisticated neural networks that enhance the image quality, reducing noise and improving detail resolution.
- Secure Data Handling: Patient data is anonymized before being uploaded to the cloud, ensuring privacy and compliance with regulations such as GDPR. The processed data is then securely returned to Medserena’s PACS system, where it is ready for reporting and long-term storage.
